Dublin

Dublin, Ireland, offers a fitting and memorable setting for the 2026 Global Young People’s Convocation!

Dublin is one of Europe’s most welcoming and accessible cities, known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and strong tradition of hospitality. As an international gathering place with deep Christian heritage, Dublin provides an ideal setting for young people from around the world to come together for worship, learning, and community. GYPC 2026 offers participants the opportunity to experience the global nature of the church firsthand while building relationships with young leaders from across the connection.

The Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport Hotel provides an ideal environment for gathering, learning, worshiping, and building relationships. The hotel is designed to accommodate large international groups comfortably, with spacious meeting areas, onsite dining, fitness amenities, and room configurations that work well for youth groups, young adults, and leaders alike. Once participants arrive, transportation, lodging, meals, and programming are all centralized, creating a safe, convenient, and community-focused experience throughout the event.

Located just minutes from Dublin International Airport, the venue makes international travel accessible for attendees coming from around the world. Shuttle transportation between the airport and hotel is provided for registrants, helping simplify arrival and departure logistics. For those wishing to explore beyond the event, Dublin’s city center is easily accessible by public transportation or private car service. Historic landmarks, museums, cafés, parks, and cultural sites are all within reach for attendees extending their stay before or after GYPC.

The location itself reflects the spirit of the Convocation. GYPC rotates around the globe to help young people experience the worldwide church, and Dublin offers a unique opportunity to engage with the faith, stories, and traditions of the Irish Methodist Church and other ecumenical partners throughout the region. Participants will encounter local leaders, worship expressions, and perspectives that broaden understanding and deepen connection across cultures and communities.

The area surrounding the hotel also adds to the experience. The venue sits adjacent to a large public park with walking trails and gathering spaces, along with nearby restaurants and shops. Dublin’s summer season provides long daylight hours, mild temperatures, and an inviting atmosphere for fellowship and exploration.
