FEBRUARY 2026 GYPC REGISTRATION UPDATES
Hello friends! As you know, January 31 was the early registration deadline for the 2026 Global Young People’s Convocation in Dublin, Ireland. We even experienced so many people all registering at once that it shut down our registration system!
We are overjoyed that so many young people and their leaders want to join together and experience worldwide connections.The largest GYPC prior to 2026 was around 350 people, which we used as a baseline for our host venue. We currently have nearly 600 people combined in registration and on the event waitlist.
We are doing everything we can to accommodate the extreme interest in GYPC while also maintaining the worldwide nature of the event. Please read below for details about our current efforts and plans. Those who completed registration by the early deadline and those currently on the waitlist can expect direct emails from our registration specialists.
- Due to amazing interest for GYPC we are in a hotel overflow situation. This means that we have filled every hotel room in the event hotel and needed to expand into additional hotels. We wanted to finalize the expansion plans for attendees to allow as many folks as possible who would like to attend GYPC to do so before sending out communication.
- The maximum capacity allowed at the event venue main room is 600 people, so we are rearranging the event schedule to accommodate that maximum possible number of attendees.
- Detailed event schedules will be published in March, after we confirm the functionality of the schedule and all permissions from the host hotel in terms of time and capacity.
- The registration platform will not re-open to the public. Our registration team will email those currently registered AND those on the waitlist to provide guidance on rooming and how to move from the waitlist to become fully registered.
THOSE FROM OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES AND REGISTERED BEFORE JANUARY 31 OR ARE ON THE WAITLIST:
- To maintain as much worldwide representation as possible, we have space reserved for you. We will reach out directly in order to help you register correctly.
IF YOU ARE FROM THE UNITED STATES AND REGISTERED BEFORE THE JANUARY 31 DEADLINE:
- You should be confirmed as registered. We will out confirmation emails starting March 2 and ask you to confirm names, dates, and hotel rooming arrangements by March 15.
- If you are in a group and willing to combine any existing room reservations, please let us know. One way to help maximize the amount of people who can stay in the original event hotel is for those willing to have roommates (and save some money) to do so. The same for any youth who are willing to sleep more than 2 to a room, as long as that is consistent with their local church's Safer Sanctuaries policy.
- Some with confirmed registrations will be staying at one of three additional hotel properties with whom we have contracted. These properties are the same lodging price and quality as the original hotel.
- When you reply to our email, please let us know if you or your group are willing to be housed in one of the additional hotels.
- 2 of the 3 hotels are within 15-minutes’ drive time and there will be shuttles. 1 of the 3 hotels is approximately 25-minutes’ drive.
- If we do not get enough willing groups, we will start making assignments based upon availability.
- The additional hotels all include breakfast and will include shuttle service to the event hotel.
- Those assigned to additional hotels will still have lunch, tea/coffee, and dinner at the main event hotel.
- The event schedule will be arranged in a way that allows those staying at properties besides the original hotel to have reasonable length days. July 8, 9, 10 event programming will begin at 10am and end no later than 9:30pm.
IF YOU ARE FROM THE UNITED STATES AND CURRENTLY ON THE WAITLIST:
- Our team will reach out to you to let you know if and how to can proceed with registration starting March 2.
- We should be able to accommodate most on the waitlist at this time.
- You will be able to register individuals at the Early Bird price of $899.
- Registration will include lunch, tea/coffee/snacks, and dinner at the original event hotel as well as access to all GYPC events.
- You will be asked to arrange your own lodging and local transport to the event hotel if you are on the waitlist and want to register for GYPC.
- We can provide suggestions for reasonable lodging options that are walkable or require little ground transportation. Public transport, taxis, and services like Uber or apps like FreeNow or Bolt all provide reasonable on ground transportation options.
- We apologize for this complication. Our team does not have the capacity to arrange any additional hotel contracts or assignments beyond our current capacity.
