Are You a Young Adult Who Likes to Write?

By John Hodges-Batzka

Are you a Young Adult who enjoys writing about your faith on a current blog, social media platform, or online discussion forum? Do you feel you have an interesting perspective or wisdom to share with young adults trying to live a life of faith?

If yes, consider becoming a Young Adult Devotion Contributor for umcyoungpeople.org. Young adult contributors are ages 18-30 in the United States or 24-35 in the Central Conferences (The Book of Discipline, 226.5). Contributors share their thoughts and ideas for one month only on topics affecting young adults. This is a commitment to writing a total of four devotional pieces. Each week one devotional piece is posted on the umcyoungpeople.org website. This is a wonderful opportunity to share with young adults across the globe, and we offer a small stipend as well!

If you are interested, take a moment to look at the devotions written by previous contributors on our young adults devotion page. If you would like to take part in the program, please email Carol Ann Smolka at csmolka@umcdiscipleship.org to ask how you can become a contributor.

** All available writing slots have been filled for the year 2018. We will begin evaluation of our new writers for the year 2019 in November. Please check with us at that time.**
