Summer Missions Service Ministry Leader: Seeking young adult leaders for summer ministry, who are passionate about living out their Christian faith, building relationships with others, mentoring youth, and leading teams of people on home building repair worksites. Must be over the age of 18 (college students with a minimum of one year completed or one year outside of high school).

Summer Missions Program Manager: Seeking a young adult leader for summer ministry, who is passionate about living out his/her Christian faith, building relationships with others, mentoring youth, overseeing and coordinating ministry programming and activities off of the worksites, and leading other young adults leaders and mission groups. Must be over the age of 18 (college students with a minimum of one year completed or one year outside of high school). At least one year of ministry experience at Hinton preferred.

Summer Missions Garden Leader: Seeking a young adult leader for summer garden ministry, who is passionate about living out his/her Christian faith, building relationships with others, mentoring youth, overseeing the planting, maintenance, and harvesting, and leading teams of people in garden work. Must be over the age of 18 (college students with a minimum of one year completed or one year outside of high school).

Ethnic Young Adult Internship with Church and Society

Ethnic Young Adult (EYA) Summer Internship runs from June 8 – August 6, 2016 and is for young adult persons of color who are members of The United Methodist Church. (full-time program)

Eligibility requirements (applicants must meet all requirements):

  • Academic level of rising sophomore, junior or senior at time of application or employed full-time
  • Active leadership and participation in a local church, faith-based or community organization with involvement in social-justice activities
  • At least 18 years of age; (upper age limit of 22 only for EYA program)
