NCJ Rundown #6 with Chris Thornsbury

By Carl Gladstone (NCJ & NEJ)
NCJ Rundown #6 with Chris Thornsbury Hello all and welcome back after a long and hopefully inspiring MLK Day Weekend. Here in Detroit we celebrated on Monday with the annual rally and march from Central UMC - a sanctuary in which Dr. King preached on his visit to Detroit in the 60's. We also took the opportunity to announce our MLK Service Weekend 2012, very excited about bringing people to this city for some work project fighting poverty in honor of King's work. Today's interview has us hearing from Chris Thornsbury of St. Lukes UMC in Indianapolis about how he's busy trying to build up the Beloved Community amongst the young adults of that congregation. You can find more information and get in touch with Christ at stlukesumc.com. In other news around the NCJ, have been conversing on the phone and preparing for some fun upcoming events this week. Watch for the following happenings and join in the fun if you have the chance!
  • YOUTHSTRIKE in Iowa - http://www.youthstrike.com/
  • MOVE in Indiana - Link Here
  • and THE CROSSING in The Dakotas - http://www.dakyouth.com/
